A contracted helicopter carrying guides and guests from a lodge in Alaska’s back country crashed. At-least 5 people have lost their lives in this incident.

Authorities Claims,” the pilot and four others lost their lives. The 5 people identified as, Gregory Harms, 52, Petr Kellner, 56, and Benjamin Larochaix, 50, Sean McMannany, 38, and the pilot, Zachary Russel, 33. The Alaska State Troopers reveals on Sunday.

Company spokesperson Mary Ann Pruitt claims, ” The five passengers included three guests and two guides from Tordrillo Mountain Lodge.”

He adds in an email to Associated press that “H arms was a pioneering heli-ski guide in Alaska and worked for many years at the lodge”. “Greg was one of the most experienced guides in the business”.


Troopers write that, “A rescue team from Alaska Rescue Coordination Centre.” Dispatching to the crash site in the area of Knik Glacier just after 10 pm. The team arrives to find five occupants dead and a sole survivor, who have taken to a hospital.

A temporary flight restriction placed over the glacier has been lifted, troopers said. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the case of the crash.
