Another Shooting incident came up in U.S. Four people that includes a child shot dead in the office premises of Southern California.

Details were scarce late Wednesday regarding the incident in Orange, California, but Orange Police Department Lt. Jen Amat told reporters at the scene four people died and the suspect in the shooting was injured and taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition. Officers recovered one gun”. she said. 

Amat reveals that one woman was at hospital in critical condition. Both the woman and the suspect suffered gunshot wounds. Adding to it she says “I don’t know if the suspect’s wound “is self-inflicted or not.” 

No additional information seen about victims. Amat stressed there was ongoing threat to the public and had no information about weapons found at the scene.

Amat says,”The information about the suspect is still under investigation”. After police received a call at 5:30 P.M at local time, shooting is still going on progressively. Department’s facebook page reveals this information.

Amat said, When officers got to the building on West Lincoln Avenue, they “did engage with the suspect and an officer-involved shooting did occur.

Police “located multiple victims at the scene including fatalities,” the department wrote on Facebook. Amat said the incident happened on the second floor of what local reports have called an office building. 

Rep. Katie Porter, a whose district includes Orange. she mentions that she was saddened by reports of the shooting. Adding to it she says, “I’m continuing to keep victims and their loved ones in my thoughts as we continue to learn more. My team and I will continue to monitor the situation closely.”

Amat mentions, there hasn’t been an “incident like this in the city of Orange since 1997. referencing when a gunman armed with an assault rifle attacked a California Department of Transportation maintenance yard. The suspect, an equipment operator who had been fired six weeks earlier, killed four people and wounded others, including a police officer, before police killed him. Orange is 30 miles south of Los Angeles. 

The shooting comes after two other March shootings. That left a total of 18 people dead. In Colorado, 10 people were killed in a shooting at a supermarket. In Atlanta, a rampage across three different massage spas left eight people, including six women of Asian descent, dead. 

She says “It’s just such a tragedy for the victims, their families, our community and our police department.”

California Gov. Gavin Newsom called the shooting “horrifying and heartbreaking.” 

“Our hearts are with the families impacted by this terrible tragedy tonight,” he tweeted.
