The Fighter Jets Rafale will take off from Bordeaux in France. Mid Air re-fueling will be provided by UAE. The Three fighter jets will be landing soon today on India’s Surface. The next batch will come in April.

Another lot of three Rafals will be landing in First week of April, Wednesday. The jets will join the golden Arrows Squadron n Ambala.

The planes will land in Gujrat approx 7. The newly added induction will take the squadron’s strength to 14. The batch of 9 Rafales will be coming in April. Out of 9, 5 will be inducted at West Bengal’s airbase “Hashimara”.

Emmanuel Lenain, Ambassador of France to India said on Tuesday that five extra Rafale jets will be ferried to India by the end of April.


The ambassador said, “It’s a matter of great pride that we’ve been able to deliver on schedule and even ahead of schedule in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic.” Ambassador Lenain was speaking in Kochi.

In 2016, 36 fighter aircrafts have been ordered by India from France. By April-end, more than 50 per cent of these fighters would have arrived in India.

The twin-engine Rafale jets are capable of carrying out a variety of missions such as ground and sea attack, air defense, and air superiority and reconnaissance.
