LeBron James left the game after rolling his already hurt ankle, overshadowing the Los Angeles Lakers’ regular-season finale victory.

The Los Angeles Lakers were hoping to win their final game of the season against the New Orleans Pelicans to avoid having to play in the NBA’s play-in round. The last thing they expected to be concerned about was LeBron James’ broken ankle.

James drove to the basket in the fourth quarter and made a decent layup attempt. However, as he descended, James twisted his right ankle, the same one he sprained in March. The Lakers went on to win 110-98 after LeBron left for the remainder of the game.
