After securing the seventh seed via the play-in tournament, the Los Angeles Lakers will face the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs.

LeBron James provided an update on his ankle injury, saying that he is able to play in Sunday’s game in Phoenix.

During the regular season, the Lakers’ superstar missed 26 games due to a high ankle sprain he sustained in a game against the Atlanta Hawks in March.

Against the second-seeded Phoenix Suns, the Lakers will need James to be at his best. The Suns are one of the few teams in the NBA this season to rank in the top ten in both defence and offence.

The Lakers, on the other hand, had the league’s best defence, allowing just 107.0 points per 100 possessions. On Sunday evening, the series against the Suns will begin.
