The Phoenix Suns crushed the Los Angeles Lakers 115-85 on Tuesday, leaving LeBron James and the depleted Los Angeles Lakers facing elimination from the NBA playoffs.

Phoenix took advantage of the Lakers’ Anthony Davis’ injured absence to dominate the defending NBA champions from the first quarter onwards, cruising to a comfortable victory.

The Suns now lead the best-of-seven Western Conference first-round series 3-2, meaning the Lakers must win game six on Thursday in Los Angeles to keep their season alive.

“I feel like the next game in this series is always the most important game,” Booker said afterward. “I believe this was a critical game for us. We came in here to show that we wanted to protect home court.”
