The Los Angeles Lakers have a lot of obstacles to overcome this offseason.
Most of the roster’s future is questionable, and there’s a high chance we’ll see just as many roster changes this summer as we did last.
Dennis Schroder is expected to be one of the players who will not suit up for the purple and gold next season. With high expectations entering into the season and a roller coaster of highs and lows, Schroder’s time with the Lakers has been fascinating.
He resembled the player who won the Sixth Man of the Year title last season at times. He proved himself to be the ball-stopping point guard he is at other times, which did not sit well with the squad.
The Los Angeles Lakers were interested in re-signing Schroder and reportedly offered him a four-year, $84 million deal, which he turned down. The Lakers should be relieved that he turned it down, especially given his postseason performance.
