Sharad Pawar, who also acts as Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief and Former BCCI president reveals Sachin Tendulkar’s suggestion for Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Captain-ship for the Indian team. Master Blaster has played a major part in his captaincy.

Pawar confesses that ” Rahul Dravid in 2007 wanted to discontinue his captain-ship”. Dravid visits Pawar in that case and asks him to quit captaincy. A new candidate is required in that case who is ready to lead the India team. Sharad asks “Sachin Tendulkar” to take charge of the team.

Master Blaster “Sachin” refuses to accept the proposal and suggests “M.S. Dhoni name for the further leadership. Pawar serves as a president for BCCI from 2005-2008.

Under Dravid’s captaincy in 2007, India has knocked out from the World Cup in the group stage. In 2007, Dhoni has allotted as the captain of India’s T20 side that went on to lift the T20 World Cup. Dhoni went on to lead the country in both ODIs and Tests, winning all the major ICC Trophies and becoming the only captain to date to have won all ICC trophies.
