According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal has discussed signing Neto from Barcelona this summer.

Arsenal are looking for a new goalkeeper, as well as a backup.

The Gunners do have Alex Runarsson, but he is regarded as a third-choice goalkeeper, and they are looking for a quality replacement to challenge Bernd Leno.

As a result, the name Neto has become a viable alternative.

Arsenal has reportedly had the Brazilian on their radar for some time, with links beginning in January. Marcelino (Belfast Telegraph) praised him as “excellent.”

Neto might be an enticing alternative for Mikel Arteta’s side if he arrives.

With the ball at his feet, the 31-year-old is a gifted player who could put pressure on Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper.

It’s still unclear whether Arsenal will require the signing of one or two goalkeepers this summer.

The future of Leno is uncertain, and if the German leaves, Neto might be the first choice if he signs.

In other news, Kevin Campbell believes Arsenal would not sell the 25-year-old despite his desire to depart.
