Chelsea will meet Manchester City in the Champions League final a week from Saturday, and Blues owner Roman Abramovich has made an extraordinary gesture ahead of the match.

Before the Champions League final, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has matched Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour’s good gesture.

After UEFA’s flagship event was rescheduled from Istanbul due to visa restrictions, the Premier League rivals will face off for Europe’s greatest award on May 29 in Porto.

Flight prices to Porto and the surrounding areas surged after the new location was confirmed, anticipating a surge of bookings, with both sides receiving 6,000 seats for the final.

“Chelsea FC can officially announce the ticketing and subsidised travel arrangements for the Champions League final in Porto next week,” reads a statement on the Blues’ official website.

“We will receive an allocation of roughly 5800 tickets, which will be sold first to UEFA Away Scheme members and subsequently to season ticket holders based on loyalty points.”
