The Los Angeles Lakers have matched the Phoenix Suns in points. Following a drubbing in Game 1 in front of a loud home crowd.

He scored 34 points with 10 rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks while dominating at the free throw line and seeming to relish contact in a manner he hadn’t before. Davis shot 7 of 15 from the field and 18 of 21 from the free throw line.

In these types of scenarios, having LeBron James on your team definitely helps. The reigning NBA Finals MVP was not as overpowering as he can be when the Lakers win, but his ability to control the tempo of the game, as well as a few baskets he hit down the stretch to maintain the pressure on Phoenix, was crucial. He finished the game with 24 points and a game-high nine assists.
