Michael Owen previews Chelsea FC’s Champions League final against Manchester City, which takes place on Saturday.
Michael Owen believes Manchester City will beat Chelsea FC 2-0 in the Champions League final on Saturday.
Manchester City is attempting to win their first Champions League title, while Chelsea FC is attempting to win the trophy for the first time since 2012.
Manchester City is aiming for three big trophies this season, after winning the Premier League and the League Cup recently.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC is hoping to end the season on a high by winning their first major prize under new manager Thomas Tuchel.
“I believe Chelsea will sit back and try to catch City on the break, but with Manchester City’s offensive prowess, keeping them out will be the ultimate test.
“With that in mind, I’m picking City to win the Champions League for the first time with a 2-0 victory.” Michael Owen said that.
Chelsea FC will play their 69th Champions League knockout match on Saturday, surpassing Manchester United and Juventus (both 68). Only Real Madrid (105 games), Bayern Munich (100 games), and Barcelona (97 games) have played more games.
Chelsea’s 300th goal in the Champions League, from group stage to final, came from Mason Mount in the second leg of the semi-final.
