Real Madrid has reportedly finalised the signing of Ruben Montero, a 15-year-old Spanish goalkeeping prodigy from the Albacete academy.

According to a report from Defensa Central, La Liga Real Madrid are continuing to improve their junior squad ranks, with Ruben Montero from Albacete the most recent addition to La Fabrica.

Montero is only 15 years old, but he has already played in the Juvenil Nacional league for Albacete’s Under-18 team and is considered one of the best young players in the country in his age group. Real Madrid beat their rivals to the punch by securing the signing of Montero, a promising goalkeeper who had been pursued by a slew of prominent clubs across Spain.

The 15-year-transfer old’s comes only days after Real Madrid completed the signing of Jose Maria Arevalo, a bright young Spanish talent who joined from Tiro Pichon at the end of last month. With the addition of Montero, the Spanish heavyweights are laying the groundwork for future first-team talents to emerge from the club’s academy.
