Manchester City will try to capture their first Champions League trophy by defeating Chelsea in the final later this month.

When Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel come to the pitch for Saturday’s Champions League final, Fernandinho has warned them that they will be up against the best Manchester City team in history. The west London club qualified for the tie by defeating Real Madrid in the semi-finals over two legs, and will be looking to win their second European title with a win over the newly-crowned Premier League champions.

The Brazilian midfielder told City’s official website that, while Chelsea will be a tough test, he is certain of a favourable outcome as the Manchester team looks to finish off an outstanding season.

Despite this, Chelsea has defeated Guardiola’s side twice since Tuchel took over at Stamford Bridge in January, and the German coach believes his team has a good chance of winning a third time on the grandest stage of all.
