On Tuesday, Real Madrid will face Chelsea in the Champions League semifinals. Los Blancos’ title hopes are dwindling after losing points against Real Betis at the weekend.
The following are the reasons why Real Madrid will beat Chelsea at home on Tuesday.
1. The back three will be a tactical success:
Real Madrid will continue to be without Lucas Vazquez and Ferland Mendy, who are key components of their 4-3-3 formation. With them out, Zinedine Zidane seems to be leaning toward a 3-4-3 formation with three centre backs.
2. The midfield battle tilts Real’s way:
Real’s holy trinity in midfield is expected to start the game, with Toni Kroos set to make his long-awaited return. In midfield, he, along with Casemiro and Luka Modric, will be crucial. Real will try and play from the back much of the time.
3. Key finishers could be the X-factors:
Real Madrid will be forced to perform admirably in a crucial final, as Zinedine Zidane has done in the past. The attack on both sides, however, is obviously young and inexperienced, and Chelsea’s is no exception.
